Last season’s revelation for the Zebras, Adem Zorgane has confirmed the hopes placed in him since his professional debut in Algeria. His performances in Belgium have been rewarded with a contract extension which was made official today by Charleroi.
La Maison du Fennec as the new name of Sporting Charleroi. The Belgian club’s communication team has decided to use these words as a tweetname on its official account. A mischievous way of announcing the extension of its Algerian international Adem Zorgane until June 2027. The announcement is now official for the young midfielder trained at Paradou, who in his first season in Belgium has attracted the interest of several European clubs.
The Setif native arrived in the summer of 2021 and quickly established himself as one of the major elements of the team managed by Mehdi Bayat, brother of the media agent Mogi Bayat. Zorgane played 36 games in all competitions last season, scoring three goals and providing six assists. Zorgane‘s successful integration on the Old Continent has brought him to the attention of several major clubs, including Lyon, who at one point approached Charleroi’s management for information.
This has led Charleroi to offer a contract extension to their Algerian jewel, even if according to our information, the club is not closed to the idea of a departure this summer in case of an offer exceeding 10 million euros. This new situation could however cool down some French clubs interested in the Algerian international, who has been given more and more responsibility by Djamel Belmadi in the midfield of the Greens. The mercato could therefore be busier than expected for Zorgane despite this extension, which is supposed to make him a long-term member of the Sporting Charleroi project.
