About Dialito

Small in size, but a real ball with overflowing energy, carefree and fearless, Dialito was certainly one of the most “sanctioned” by the supervisor in boarding school life!
As if he always had to take up the challenge of confrontation…. To avoid catching cold at certain times, air conditioning was not recommended during naps. In order to facilitate a wake-up call and softer training conditions. But that was without counting on Dialito’s imagination (helped by some of them, including Solomon, Séka, Boka, etc., always ready to play a trick on the supervisor). Thus, they sometimes turned on the air conditioning at nap time against the firm set point received. And, to fall asleep peacefully and deeply.
In reality, all the occupants of the room were impatiently waiting for the supervisor, having noticed the air conditioning on, to rush in for admonitions…. And then, the heavy travel bag containing football shoes and other effects, maliciously placed above the ajar door, fell on the poor man, just as the pseudo snoring of the room’s occupants became louder… If it wasn’t for a bucket of water placed in place of the bag.
After that, it was weeks of chores and punishments, which they underwent with good heart while waiting for the next round…
So, that he had planned to spend a weekend in Youpougon with Boka and Sano among others. He was not sure that his father would like the idea rather strict on certain principles. He calls home as the transport bus arrives in Cocody where he is staying, to ask his little brother to bring him some things for the weekend, to avoid being seen by his father. At the end of the line, it is his father who answers the phone, thinking he recognizes his son’s voice on the phone who asks to talk to another of his sons, the father asks: “It’s you Mohamed?”, surprised to find his father, Dialito answers: “No, it’s not me”… Imagine what happens when after answering: “Okay, hold on, let’s call him…”, the father realizes the absurdity of the answer and comes back to pick up the handset for the rest of the exchange… The Dilaito spit it out…
