FOLLOWNG QPR\u2019s 1-0 victory over Swansea City on Saturday afternoon, attacker Ilias Chair<\/a> admitted that the season was ultimately a disappointing one for Rangers – but knows that there is still a lot to come from the Super Hoops.<\/p>\n

Andre Gray\u2019s 80th-minute strike ensured the R\u2019s signed off from the 2021\/22 campaign on a positive note, with the clash in South Wales also Chair\u2019s 150th\u00a0appearance for Rangers.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the full-time whistle was blown on the campaign, the Moroccan international told www.qpr.co.uk\u00a0: \u201cThe win was a nice way to finish what has been ultimately a disappointing season for us.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]Every single season I need to get better and better and hopefully that\u2019s what I will do.<\/strong><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”22265″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\u201cObviously we expected more, the fans deserve more and as players we wanted more – but this is football, we must move on and hopefully challenge next season.\u00a0We have been a bit inconsistent, some games we have really played well, and others have been not so good. But we have to learn from it, especially us as young players, we have to correct it and ensure we have a bright future ahead of us.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Reflecting on the season on a personal level, the 24-year-old – who bagged nine goals from 43 appearances throughout the campaign for the R\u2019s – said that he had learned a lot over the last 12 months, but wants to continue developing.<\/p>\n

He explained: \u201cThe season has been good for my development, I am my biggest self-critic and I will never be satisfied with what I have done this year.\u00a0There\u2019s a lot to learn for myself and that\u2019s what I must do these coming years, every single season I need to get better and better and hopefully that\u2019s what I will do.”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
