[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]During the collaboration with our partner Wadi Degla (financier of some academies such as Belgium, Egypt and Ghana), players trained in these academies started the professional adventure in Belgium in the Lierse SK club owned by Wadi Degla. Unfortunately, this beginning of the journey, which at first seemed like an opportunity, was not due, among other things, to poor management. The club eventually went bankrupt and many players, including some academics, found themselves in difficult conditions.
\nWe are following some of them and in this case Nelson<\/a>, who gave us an interview.<\/p>\n

Hello Nelson<\/a>, first of all thank you for responding to our request for an interview. We will start by reviewing the end of your contract with Lierse…<\/p>\n

. When did your contract with Lierse SK end ?<\/strong>
\nMy contract ended in June 2018.<\/p>\n

. What happened after your contract ended ?<\/strong>
\nAfter my contract ended, I found myself without a club. But I kept training alone, because I was planning to bounce back…<\/p>\n

. What do you think of this Belgian adventure ?<\/strong>
\nI think that despite all this it has been a great adventure, it has allowed me to evolve in Europe…<\/p>\n

. How long did you stay without playing ?<\/strong>
\nI stayed six months without playing…<\/p>\n

. Did you manage to get your Belgian nationality ?<\/strong>
\nNo, I do not have Belgian nationality…<\/p>\n

. You’ve since signed up in a new club what’s his name ?<\/strong>
\nThe club’s name is NK Drava. \nThe club is in D2 and yes we have professional status…<\/p>\n

. You’re basically a central defender, but now what position are you playing ?\u00a0<\/strong>
\nYes, my favourite position is central defender, but I play as a defensive midfielder, and that doesn’t work either…<\/p>\n

. How many games have you played this season? How many years of contract do you have ?<\/strong>
\nI signed a 6-month contract with the club but there was a problem with the administrative document between the two federations Belgian and Slovenian and I missed 6 matches.<\/p>\n

. What are your projects ?<\/strong>
\nMy plans are to play as many games as possible, and to go through the stages little by little.<\/p>\n

. Have you heard from the other players who played with you in Lierse ?<\/strong>
\nYes, I have news from my academic brothers, we call each other from time to time.<\/p>\n

. How do you see your future ?<\/strong>
\nI am very positive. That’s the only way we can move forward.<\/p>\n

. Do you have a message for Internet users ?<\/strong>
